PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Jury selection began Tuesday morning in the trial of a former state employee accused of stealing 1.8-million dollars. Lonna Carroll allegedly took the money over a 12-year period while working as an employee for the Department of Social Services. If convicted, she faces up to 40 years in prison and a maximum of 80-thousand dollars in fines.
